Four men run into a room with guns in their hands. It’s not the usual start to a Tuesday morning, and for a moment everyone just stares at them, wondering where the hidden cameras are.
Then they start shouting.
“GET ON THE FLOOR! FACE DOWN! NOT YOU! YOU, HAND OVER THE MONEY!”
Stunned, everyone obeys. They lie down on the cold tiled floor and try not to attract attention. They’re all glad that they’re not the cashier, though. With two guns pointed at her face, she’s trying to put money into bags with shaking hands.
Almost as quickly as they arrived, they’re gone, but it takes a few minutes before anybody dares to move. Shaking, they stand up and pick up the cheque books and bills they dropped a few minutes before.
Nobody’s sure what to do.
“Um,” a middle aged lady says to the cashier, “Can I still pay this in?”
